Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2020 will be held from September 16th (Wed) to 27th (Sun), 2020, and we are pleased to announce that MARZA’s original short animation “THE PEAK” has been nominated and selected for screening in the CG Animation category. The jury (in alphabetical order) for the CG Animation category consists of Sumire Uehara (voice actress), Izuru Kumasaka (screenwriter, director), and Tomoyuki Sugiyama (President, Digital Hollywood University, Doctor of Engineering).

SSFF & ASIA 2020 “CG Animation Division
This year’s CG Animation Division, a collaboration between SSFF & ASIA and Digital Hollywood, which has produced numerous creators in the content industry both in Japan and abroad, is now in its 10th year and includes the 92nd (2020) Academy Award Nominee for Best Animated Short Film. 22 masterpieces (from 14 countries and regions) utilizing a variety of CG techniques, which are constantly evolving, will be screened and streamed online.

The 92nd (2020) Academy Awards nominee for Best Animated Short Film “Memorable” was screened, and “Best CG” was selected for the DIGITAL FRONTIER GRAND PRIX 2020, a creative award sponsored by Digital Hollywood. We will also have a special screening of “dro:p,” which won the Animation Award and the Grand Prix. Don’t miss the new works by these talented CG creators.
